What we hope to achieve

It is well known that exercise helps in diabetes. It actually changes the chemistry of the body in beneficial ways apart from keeping weight normal and muscle tissue toned.

The way we spend calories when exercising says a lot about us and this data can be used to compare the body chemistry differences between non-diabetics and diabetics of both types.

It might be possible to see how well your medication helps you and we hope it will show us what an artificial pancreas would have to accomplish to improve the outcomes for diabetic people.

Exercise is therefore an additional area in which an artificial pancreas would be helpful and we hope to find out a bit more about this in a new study that involves stretching some muscles and being hooked up to some electronics. It also involves more surveys.
