Breendonk | Jack Honeysett | 2011
Shot at an old Nazi labour camp, Breendonk is part of the Documents series about social memory through place, artefacts and preservation.
Documents is a series of films of a gentile pastoral nature which attempt to break up landscapes, reconstructing them into linear narratives, in order to form a picture or scene that plays with memory of place.
The works are about relationship to place and strongly influence the later body of work ‘Field notes of England’
