Kerry Hearsey joined the Business School as a lecturer in Work-Based Learning (Business and Management) in November 2023. She gained her degree at University of Maryland, continuing her professional development with a Graduate Diploma Teaching in the Life Long Learning Sector. For over 20 years, Kerry has worked in the Coaching and Mentoring space, working directly with senior leaders, educators, small businesses and professional athletes. This has led Kerry to set up her own Coaching practice and, alongside this, founded a Children’s Mental Health and Wellbeing Charity.
Currently Kerry is a Lecturer for Work-Based Learning working on the Senior Leadership Apprenticeships, responsible for guiding and supporting senior leaders during their apprenticeship and End Point Assessment (EPA) preparation.
Prior to joining Â鶹´«Ã½, Kerry taught in Further Education colleges (individually graded Ousted Outstanding in Teaching and Learning) and Universities across the UK and Internationally in the USA and parts of Africa. Kerry has also worked alongside 12 National Governing Sports Bodies, including UK Coaching with Olympic and Paralympic Athletes and Coaches, and worked with the Dame Kelly Holmes Legacy Trust.
Currently, she is director of a Coaching Company and Founder of a Children’s Mental Health and Wellbeing Charity. Kerry has also worked extensively in the public, private and not-for profit sector, primarily with senior level leaders and directors both individually and in group based settings. She has also co-written and published 80 Children’s Mental Health and Wellbeing books.
Kerry has developed an unbreakable passion and purpose to support and help individuals and teams to achieve their potential, far beyond their greatest beliefs. Through her drive and motivation, Kerry inspires individuals and teams to challenge themselves to move to greater heights.
