Personal profile

Ines joined Â鶹´«Ã½ in 2012 from the Local Government Centre at Warwick Business School where she was Director of the Warwick University Local Authorities Research Consortium and managed the Warwick contribution to the national evaluation of LAAs/LSPs. Previously, Ines was  Head of Policy at the Local Government Information Centre (LGiU) and managed a range of research projects focussing particularly on neighbourhood renewal and social inclusion, the frontline councillor role and parish and town councils. Between September 2007-March 2009, she also led on the IDeA’s economic development work.

 

She started her career as a qualified town planner working for Westminster City Council and then moved into community advocacy planning for the Joint Docklands Action Group and into economic development. As part of her role as head of the economic development unit for Harlow District Council, she took on the co-ordination of the South East Economic Development Strategy Group (SEEDS) and was responsible for managing and publishing some 15 research studies on different economic sectors in the South East between 1992-1999.
